The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has announced a significant move by granting a 50 percent discount on fines for all municipal violations within the emirate of Sharjah. This decision, effective for a 90-day period, covers all violations issued before September 5, offering residents and businesses an opportunity to rectify their violations with reduced penalties.
The SEC meeting was presided over by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council. Other dignitaries present included Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Vice Chairman of the SEC, as well as Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council SEC.
In addition to the fine discount announcement, the SEC discussed various matters related to the advancement of government operations and plans to enhance the emirate’s services and development projects. Furthermore, the council addressed the issue of providing assistance to homeowners affected by natural disasters in Sharjah. The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) will be responsible for delivering this aid.
The decision outlines the prerequisites for seeking assistance, the evaluation of damage by the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, and the financial assistance determined by the SSSD. Legal provisions and measures to assess the assistance’s value are also covered in the decision.
Moreover, the SEC announced its decision to place the Dog Care Centre, affiliated with the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA), under the supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC). This move suggests a collaborative approach in managing and promoting canine welfare and sports activities within the emirate.
