Donald Trump Calls For ‘Drug Test’ Before Next Presidential Debate

Donald Trump has suggested that he and Hillary Clinton be given a drugs test before the next presidential debate on Wednesday.

Speaking at a rally in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the Republican candidate implied that Mrs Clinton’s demeanour had changed during their last encounter.

“We’re like athletes,” he said. “Athletes, they make them take a drug test.

“I think we should take a drug test prior to the debate. Why don’t we do that?”

Mr Trump then made insinuations about Mrs Clinton, telling his audience: “I don’t know what’s going in with her, but at the beginning of her last debate, she was all pumped up at the beginning, and at the end it was like, ‘Uhhh, take me down’.”

In what appeared to be a reference to Mrs Clinton’s apparent collapse recently when she was suffering from pneumonia, Mr Trump added: “She could barely reach her car.”

The tycoon also claimed the outcome of next month’s vote had already been decided.

“Hillary is running for president in what looks like a rigged election,” he told those who had turned out to see him.

“The election is being rigged by corrupt media pushing completely false allegations and outright lies in an effort to elect her president.”

Referring to claims of sexual misconduct made against him, Mr Trump said: “These allegations – many of them already proven so false…

“We can’t let them get away with this folks. Total lies. You’ve been seeing total lies.”

He described his accusers as “phoney people coming up with phoney allegations with no witnesses whatsoever… from 20 years ago, 30 years ago.

A former candidate on “The Apprentice”, Summer Zervos, claimed Mr Trump had kissed her “open-mouthed” and pulled her towards him in Los Angeles in 2007.

“He then grabbed my shoulder and began kissing again very aggressively, and placed his hand on my breast,” she said.

Mr Trump said in a statement that he “vaguely” remembered Ms Zervos from the television show, adding: “To be clear, I never met her at a hotel or greeted her inappropriately a decade ago.”

The other accuser, Kristin Anderson, told the Washington Post Mr Trump put his hand up her skirt and touched her underwear.

She said it happened when she was sitting on a couch talking to friends at the China Club in New York in the early 1990s.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, dismissed Mr Trump’s assertion that the election was “rigged”.

He said that participation in the forthcoming ballot was something to be encouraged and not “dismissed or undermined because a candidate is afraid he’s going to lose”.
