Amazon has one of the most powerful cloud technologies in the world, according to the report. This allows servers from different parts of the world to be linked and the data stored there to be processed centrally. Now VW wants to use this computing capacity to get closer to its own efficiency target.
This could also be made possible by a massive network in which Amazon interconnects the facilities, supplies and warehouses. On the sidelines of the so-called “Mars” conference by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, CEO Herbert Diess agreed to cooperate in this field last week.
