VW Is Allegedly Allied With Amazon

Volks Wagon And Amazon

VW boss Diess and Amazon founder Bezos have agreed to a cooperation. What VW is looking for among the Americans is actually a core competence of the Germans.

Productivity is actually considered the core competence of Germans. In order to increase it further in the future, the German car company VW is now seeking support from the internet retailer Amazon. It could create a far-reaching partnership.

Amazon has one of the most powerful cloud technologies in the world, according to the report. This allows servers from different parts of the world to be linked and the data stored there to be processed centrally. Now VW wants to use this computing capacity to get closer to its own efficiency target.

This could also be made possible by a massive network in which Amazon interconnects the facilities, supplies and warehouses. On the sidelines of the so-called “Mars” conference by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, CEO Herbert Diess agreed to cooperate in this field last week.

At the moment, the vehicle factories of the VW Group are working all over the world with completely different software systems. This makes the overview more difficult. The networks of the connected suppliers also worked with different systems.

VW CEO Herbert Diess had last set the goal that the group plants by 2025 by one-third more productive work.
